Hi there, welcome to HammerAI! We are a free character chat app that runs the AI model locally on your computer, or on the cloud. HammerAI is:

• Simple: Start chatting immediately after installing the app. No configuration or login needed - it's ready to go out of the box ✨
• Private: If you run the AI model locally on your computer, your messages will never leave the app and are deleted each time you close it. If you run using a cloud model, your messages are processed on our secure remote servers 🔒
• Free: Chatting with characters is 100% free - you can either use a local model for ultimate privacy, or our cloud-hosted Smart Lemon Cookie 7B model if you cannot run models locally: both offer unlimited messages for free 💸
• Offline: HammerAI works offline. Be sure to download before being stranded on a desert island - it might just save your life 🏝️

HammerAI can be accessed in two ways:

1. Via the website: here you can either chat with cloud models, or with models running locally on your computer using WebGPU
2. Via the desktop app: here you can either chat with cloud models, or with models running locally on your computer using Ollama

While chatting with unlimited characters and with using any local AI model is free, I've added these paid plans so that I can pay developers to help improve HammerAI alongside me, and pay for the cost of the cloud-hosted models. When you make a purchase here, you will be given a license key which can be used in both the website and the desktop app.
